  • Expanded summer camp curriculum programs at NCTC and CCCCD and started summer camp for middle school at GCC

  • Developed and enhanced distance learning modules at GCC (heating and air conditioning); CCCCD (telecommunications); UNT (teaching excellence)

  • Conducted job skills profiling – WorkKeys (GCC) to identify areas for curriculum improvement

  • Developed enhanced web navigation (NCTC) in the Virtual Learning Community, which was shared with consortium members through consultation and training

  • Collaborated with amateur radio clubs, American Radio Relay League, Heard Museum and Natural Wildlife Sanctuary, Brandenburg Life Foundation and corporate sponsors, Texas Instruments, Nortel Networks and Ericsson in developing camp material and providing speakers and mentors in wireless technology.

  • Developed information for public dissemination through television interviews, newspaper and magazine articles, college information cards, school presentations, conference presentations

  • Delivered technology training in summer institutes for high school faculty

  • Developed strategy for ABET accreditation

  • Partnered with development groups (Sherman Economic Development Corporation and North Texas Rural Network) to train local workers and to bring technology access to rural communities

  • Created Convergence Lab at CCCCD to make available for student hands-on integration experience in real-world problem solving environment

  • Developing model for problem-oriented instructional learning; developing course for testing methodology; promoting Convergence Lab as beta test site for small to medium-sized industry

  • Refining and solidifying articulation agreements between colleges and universities

  • Partnering with regional Tech Prep consortia for summer high-tech symposium to broaden student and faculty knowledge of technology advancements and career options
